Ingredients
  

  • Warm water
  • Active dry yeast
  • Sugar
  • All-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • Egg
  • Butter
  • Onions sliced
  • Shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or mix

Method
 

  1. Mix yeast, warm water, and sugar. Let it foam.
  2. Add flour, salt, butter, and egg. Knead dough, let rise until doubled.
  3. Caramelize onions in butter until golden.
  4. Roll dough, spread onions, add cheese, roll up, and place in loaf pan.
  5. Brush with butter, sprinkle cheese, and bake at 350°F until golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add garlic powder or fresh herbs to the filling for extra flavor.
