Ingredients

  • 2 cups mini pretzels lightly crushed
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips milk or semi-sweet
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter optional
  • 36 candy eggs about 3 per nest

Method

  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in peanut butter (if using) until well combined.
  4. Add crushed pretzels to the melted mixture and mix until evenly coated.
  5. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared tray.
  6. Use the back of a spoon to gently press the center of each mound to form a nest shape.
  7. Place 2–3 candy eggs in the center of each nest while the mixture is still soft.
  8. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes or until fully set.

Notes

  • Do not overheat the chocolate to avoid a grainy texture.
  • Keep pretzels slightly chunky for better crunch and structure.
  • Work quickly while shaping, as the mixture sets fast.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • You can swap butterscotch chips with more chocolate, but flavor will be less rich.
