Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins or chocolate chips optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add gradually to wet mix.
  5. Stir in oats and any add-ins.
  6. Scoop dough onto baking sheet, flatten slightly.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until golden at edges.
  8. Cool and enjoy.

Notes

  • Swap raisins for cranberries or chocolate chips.
  • For chewier cookies, slightly under-bake.
