Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • ¼ tsp salt
For the Orange Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 –3 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest optional
  • Pinch of cardamom optional

Method
 

  1. Cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Add vanilla and cardamom.
  2. Mix in flour and salt until dough forms.
  3. Divide dough, shape into logs, wrap, and chill 2+ hours.
  4. Slice dough into ¼-inch rounds and place on lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes. Let cool completely.
  6. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle or dip tops of cookies.
  7. Let glaze set before serving or storing.
