- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and dry the asparagus thoroughly, then trim the woody ends.
- Place asparagus in a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange asparagus in the air fryer basket in a mostly single layer.
- Cook for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Remove when tender with lightly crisped tips.
- Add optional toppings if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Dry asparagus completely before cooking for best crispness.
- Avoid overcrowding the basket or the asparagus will steam.
- Medium-thickness asparagus cooks best in the air fryer.
- Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes to re-crisp.
